My DS5 wants to redecorate his room with animal themes due to his love of them. We decided to do the painting in olive because we had found several comforters that had olives and tans in it including one at Walmart. It was priced at $29 with the sheets being $19. Fast forward a few months (We put off the redecorating until after vacation) to last night when I was at Walmart. I was checking out the clearance isle and they had both sets marked down to $19 and $11. I grabbed them up but when I got to the checkout, the comforter priced at $7:woohoo:

Wow....what a great deal!

I got a new sheet set for dd's bed a few weeks on clearance at Target for $8. Love those clearance deals!

About a week ago at Walmart, I bought the Crazy Airplane comforter, sheets, curtains, and fleece blanket for my DS. The comforter & fleece blanket were $7 each and the sheet set (twin) & curtains (set of 2) were $9 each. His room is in the process of being painted cream and steel blue which is a perfect match. The safari animal ones (I think this is the one you are talking about?) were super cute and I love that they are both Disney inspired!!

Great deal :) BUT i just wanted to pass a budget tip about walmart along. We got DS the Toystory 3 comforter and sheets. They wanted 29.00 for comf. in the store and like 19.99 for sheets in the store. Online- ship to store was 20.00 for the SAME comforter and 14.99 for the same sheets. I have no idea why the price difference was so great but online walmart was much cheaper than instore walmart :)

Yep, those were the ones I was talking about. I almost got the fleece blanket as well but I'm in the middle of making him a quilt for his room so I didn't. They had the crazy airplane one at ours as well and it is so cute.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the difference between online and in store. Crazy isn't it?

Awesome deal!
I just had to comment. While I was reading your post, about the top 1/3 of your ticker was showing on my screen and it dawned on me that the colors/theme would be perfect for your son's room. If you had drawing talent or access to an overhead projector, you could do animal sillhouettes in your olive/tan colors on one wall. You could do them in a line like the ticker or overlapping almost like camoflage. Not sure if this was your style, but it just popped into my head and I had to share. (At first glance, I thought the top part of the ticker I could see WAS a picture of his room and it looked too cool!) :lmao:
