OK so talk me through getting the layers separated.

I'm still SCAL illiterate. I got the image to open in SCAL but I don't know what to do from there.

Never mind!! I figured out if I close the eye on each layer, I can just cut what I need. Thanks so much Reddy!

you should just ungroup it & then click on each color & drag it to where you want it

I'll be done with Kermit tomorrow - he is pretty simple too

OK you need to open SCAL (do you use 1,2 or 3??)
at the top of the page you will Sure Cuts Alot - then which one you are using
under that is the words
File Edit Object - then a few others
click on flie
on the list that drops down you will see the word - import - click on that
then you need to fing the file on your computer - that depends on where it got saved usually downloads unless you tell it otherwise

you should see the file
adjust the size now so you can see how big it will be
then you need to ungroup - click on Object (list with file at the top) then click on ungroup
then pull each of the different colors where you want them on the mat

then cut out
clear as mud right??

Thanks, you make it sound easy. I think I have SCAL 2 it has been so long since I used it. You can cut anything you want? Where do you find all the Disney images? Someone had some really nice die cuts.

I make alot of mine - Mardenz used to be another blog that people went too

most of my files I'm cutting them so I break them apart & if you use scal2 they usually have the files all set up if you like the size I used - they are on my blog (Reddy's Ramblings link in my siggy)

Buffy - another idea was Donald chasing the hat - I'm thinking I had a Donald running in my "lots of Donalds" files & a hat in Hollywood Studios section
