Day 8
Had a 9:30 PS for Chef Mickeys which was open. You could tell they were short staffed due to Charley but we enjoyed the breakfast as usual. Forgot to mention we took our picture the day before Friday the 13th in front of the castle so the kids could have it for the future and say this is where I was when Charley hit. After breakfast we walked out by the pool which was covered in leaves, branches, etc.. and talked to one of the lifeguards who had been at work for over 24 hours and whose brother had lost his roof. She said they hoped to have the pool reopen later in the afternoon. You had to remember that although we were on vacation and untouched, a lot of people had suffered due to Charley. In the afternoon we headed back to EPCOT which was not crowded at all to finish the World Showcase Germany didnt have any brats due to no delivery but we were able to eat around the world. Illuminations was great and we headed back to the CR. We were able to see a lot trees uprooted and signs cracked in half from the monorail and realized how strong the winds really were the night before.
Day 9
Today we did early entry at MK which is an early rise but if you have small kids who like fantasyland is great. We did at least 9 rides in the first hour, then grabbed Fastpasses for BTMR while riding Splash mountain my kids didnt really enjoy splash so I ended up on BTMR by myself twice, gave the other Fastpasses away. Back to the CR for swimming and then back to the MK for a few more rides and Wishes.
Day 10
Blizzard Beach again from opening until 1:30, then back to the room for a nap. I had a PS for OHana dinner at 5:30 and it was great, the chef took great care with my son making him meats just for him and some mashed potatoes and we all were full. We checked out the Polynesian and the kids think they may want to give it a try next. We monorailed to the MK to ride Buzz a few times and Philharmagic then back to the room.
Day 11
Epcot early for fastpasses for Test Track I rode Mission space by myself and then headed over to the Land we were the only ones on the boat. Back to Test Track for our spin after the introduction we had to wait about 20 minutes as the ride broke down but it was fun. Universe of Energy and a few others were on our agenda and then we ate at the Electric Umbrella. Headed back to the CR to throw on our suits and take a couple of mice-boats out for a spin and a jump in the pool. That evening we hit the MK for adventureland rides and some ice cream.
Day 12
Packed up the night before so didnt have much to do in the morning called bell services to come grab the bags to hold til the afternoon, then headed out to the MK for the kids and our last spins on our favorites and make sure we had enough souvenirs. Back to the CR to turn in our tickets from the arcade and pick out prizes Quicksilver was on time and we got to the airport 1.5 hours before our flight. Flight home had only 25 people on it and we made it home safe, sound , and tired. I do a final thoughts next.
