Red spots on the palms of my DD's hands??

I'm voting for Hand, Foot, and Mouth. Both of the dcs had it after a playgroup once. You can get it anywhere, though. My friend's dd got it last summer in...are you ready for the horror? WDW!:)

Well they called back and they seem to think it is Hand Mouth and Foot disease as well, but they want to see her just to be sure. So we have an appointment 10:30 tomorrow.

We visit my parents house a couple times a month, but I doubt she could have gotten anything there.

This is what I am thinking, too. But she is not in daycare, so I have no clue how she could have gotten it! Can you tell me what they normally do to treat this? I am sure her pedi will want to see her to make sure - because I am just guessing that is what it could be by looking at websites.

My sister got this at age 21! (suppressed immune system due to disease) She is obviously not in daycare or worked as a nanny. We figure she got it in a public restroom or a store of something...

Hmm - usually the younger kids get this, the worse it is. The blisters, in our cases, have been raised, itchy, and the ones in the mouth painful. Usually there is a fever, and it's rare to get it in winter. My kids have all gotten rashes from virus' - nothing else, just a rash. If it's HFM, there's nothing you can do, and every kid pretty much gets it at some point.
