Red Jacket Resort ~ North Conway ~ Whose been?

Looking to go up for a mini getaway either in September or October and will be booking within the next couple days. So far availability is ok but I know closer to foliage time it will be impossible to book! Anyway, we've never been to this hotel before & wondering how it is and how is the enclosed water park (Kahuna Laguna). We have been to the Six Flags resort up in NY with the water park so am familiar with the type of place but wondering how crowded do you think it will be on a Friday (the water park portion)?

Planning on getting there around 12 on Friday ~ doing hotel waterpark that day
Checking out in AM and going to Storyland for the day ~ they close at 5PM and then heading home afterwards.

Any advice? Tips? Comments?

I've never stayed there, but just read the review on Tripadvier a few weeks ago and they are horrible! If you aren't able to get a reservatoin there I've always had luck getting a room at Attistash Mountain BVillage. Just be sure to request one of the newer units
