DD has a small reddedend bump on her face about an inch from her mouth. When she first got it, we thought it was a bug bite, but it never seemed to fade. I didn't reallize how long it's been there until my mom made a comment about it being on her school picture. I went all the way back to her preschool pic and it was present there. (4 years ago) I guess we just kind of got used to seeing it. Sometimes it gets a little reddened around it, but never seems to itch or hurt.

I am quite sure it is nothing of any health import, but I'm wondering what itr is and if anyone has had ids with something like it before. I would like to help her get rid of it.

She goes to the pediatrician tomorrow for a checkup, so I'llask her, but it's a new pediatrician and Destiny has never seen her before, so I don't know what she'll thinnk, or if she's experienced that veofre.

Sorry about the typos, but olivia is sittign here and "helpoing" me type and use the mouise.

DD 14 has one. She got it at around 6.. Doctors have looked at it and said it's no big deal

I have one under my right eye (I think it's what you're talking about) I don't even notice it anymore it's been there so long. I'm 23 and I think it probably showed up... I have no clue... maybe... when I was 12 or so? :confused3

I'm sure she's fine :)

It is probably a small birth mark, I have one under my left eye and DD has one on her upper thigh. No big deal and her doc says it may go away in time.

Just as a funny aside, DD's birthmark is very high on her inside thigh. DH says if a boyfirend ever starts talking about her birth mark, he is taking out the shotgun! :lmao:

Doctor said it was a pyogenic granuloma. She said it probably started out as an insect bite and as it healed, it developed some blood vessels? Anyway, she said there's not much to do for it unless it causes problems and it might go away on it's own eventually.
