Red bees?

I have a hive of red bees. Im not sure if they are bees at all, but they look just like bees and they fly? Any ideas? thanks

They are most probably a wasp of some sort, not related to honey bees very closely if at all.

You are welcome. When I see anything that is NOT a honey bee, it is a target for Ortho Wasp killer, assuming they are trying to build a nest anywhere on our deck or surrounding trees.
They sting without much provocation and can sting way more than once. I am very allergic to their stings and it is them or me, and I win.
