Recording Everything?

People who like to record everything get very passionate about it, as you've seen, but yeah, I agree with your initial observation.

Actually, I think it's the other way around and those who don't want to record or photograph are the ones who are passionate. I don't ever remember seeing a thread wondering why people don't record more or take more photos. I don't remember ever seeing a thread where someone's vacation style was criticized because they choose not to take videos or photos. However, it seems like there's always another "why do people have to video/take photos" thread.

I guess some people can have one eye on the screen and one eye on the magic. I personally cannot. Plus the light from everyone screen during dark shows or rides is bothersome. One woman yesterday during HEA had her light on to video the show. It was only when my companion asked them to shut off the light then another asked her to did she understand it was impacting people’s views of the show. And on a side note there was a guy talking on his cell phone during POTC. That one I cannot figure out. But it’s besides the point. Thanks for everyone’s opinions. I just didn’t want to miss a legitimate reason.

I TOTALLY agree with you in regards to the inconsiderate people (using flash or lights etc.), but that was not what the thread was asking. I have asked a number of people to lower their video camera or worse yet their big ipads (my pet peeve).

I wonder more about the people who are on their phones, reading playing games etc than people recording. I made a game this past June of counting how many people were on their phones in line rather than looking around. Seven Dwarves Mine Train won, I counted 21 people directly in front of me who were playing on their phones and not looking at anything.

I think you're going to see more of that thanks to Disney.

They've added the interactive features now to app playing. And most recently removed some interactive features from 7DMT queue (that tend to work some times and not others and would also hold up the line too) and as rumor would have it will add it to play disney parks app.

So the games they may be playing may just be related to their Disney vacation.
