Recorded Screams?

On Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, there is a sound effect that it played of people screaming. :scared1: It's at the bit where the track goes round to the left and into a tunnel, right by the water. You can clearly hear it on the left, especially if you sit at the back (as the screaming is coming from behind you, when everyone else is in front of you).

My question is, are there any other attractions at the World which use fake screaming like this? I'm thinking possibly Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, Test Track, Splash Mountain? Anyone know?

Are you talking about the bat noises? That is the only thing I can remember hearing as being a recording.

No, the sound is of people screaming. I should clarify that it is outside, on that turn, just before the train enters a tunnel. It's a pretty good effect - it sounds very good from the Island and the Riverboat. I think that the effect is mainly for their benefit.

If you look at this YouTube video -

- the bit I'm talking about is at 2:37. You can just about hear the screaming on the video.

Nope, sorry no recorded screams on those rides. When I rode them I screamed so much and so loud the walls just absorbed my screams and continually plays them back to everyone. ;)

I've heard those fake screams on thunder mountain.:rotfl:

And I'm trying to recall any other rides with the same effect....

I'm pretty sure Splash Mountain plays fake screams when you first drop into the laughing place. "there's just BEES in here...:crack::crunch: Whooooaaaaaaaa" Pretty sure I heard it even when me and my friend rode alone.

Other than that, I can't think of any rides that have fake screams.

I would think Tower of Terror.

Before I even read the first post TOT would have been my guess. Stand on the street and watch the door near the top of the Hotel when it opens for the photo opp. Interesting thing about "fake" screaming, it augments any actual response so the sound isn't the same each time. Pretty clever.:earsboy:

If it happened at AE it may also happen at Stitch... just a more "kid friendly" scream...:happytv: But seriously. I'm just guessing. Thats something new to listen for next trip!:thumbsup2

Yes.

Stitch and Alien Encounter (in that same attraction space previously) are a SOUND-driven attractions.

The shoulder-harness is mainly a way to get the
Binaural Audio ("surround sound") speakers into position near your ears.

There are many "crowd" effects recorded on the tracks.
The technology can make them seem to originate "live-in-the-room."
