the extra points are going to good use. We are hoping a 2 bdrm at GFV and we are taking my Sister and our 6 yr old Niece next May.

-- 6/17/14 sent to Disney ROFR
-- 7/15/14 received notice that it passed ROFR
-- 8/1/14 received closing documents.
-- 8/1/14 returned $ and documents
-- 8/12/14 closing company has forwarded a copy of the recorded
deed to DVC with the request that they complete the transfer in their*system
-- 8/13/14 recorded with Orange County
-- 8/27/14 Contract shows on DVC site.
-- 8/28 Talked to member services …shell there only
-- 9/7 Talked to member services again & was told I bought re-sale and it takes longer to load them.

I was ok until I opened the DVC and saw the "shell" but there were no points under any year.
I was worried that I had gotten scammed with my re-sale. I felt slightly better after them telling me it would be loaded after Labor Day but I won't feel good until I actually see them on DVC site.

Wow...I can't believe you don't have your points loaded yet! I had almost the exact same timeline. My acct was created and I was in the dvc system on Friday before Labor Day. Points were loaded when I called Tuesday morning after Labor Day. Maybe it depends on what resort you purchased?

On the topic of timelines, how come some people receive their closing documents in 4-6 days and other take 15 days or more? I received notification that I passed ROFR on 8/25 and I'm still waiting for closing documents but I've seen posts saying people received their docs in 6 days. Is it just the title company?

I've wondered this myself! We passed 8/21 and received our closing docs yesterday 9/7. Hopefully you only have a few more days!! We put them in the mail this morning... With a big fat check! One step closer...
