Does anyone have a favorite software package to capture streaming video?

I have Windows XP. I purchased a package awhile back called ProDVD that I downloaded. Not only did it not capture the streaming video I needed. I could no longer get the streaming video. I contacted the company I purchased the product from and they referred me to the tech support people. The tech support person's response was "Sorry, it doesn't work for everyone. You should get your money back from the company that your purchased it from." After several phone calls and emails, I never got my money back. I would recommend you avoid ProDVD. I'm not saying that the problem wasn't because of my lack of ability, but their customer support was horrible.

I've also been trying to capture a clip from a DVD and can't get it to work. I've tried a couple of different things and the programs tell me that the DVD is in the wrong format. I'm just trying to capture a small clip of my DD from a DVD of a TV show that is on DVD. The DVD works great. It is the same DVD sold to people. I just need it for a demo clip for her agent. I guess I'm going to have to hire someone to do it for me because I can't figure it out.

Good luck, OP!
