On our next trip to Florida, we will definitely be spending two days at Universal now that my Harry Potter reader is 48 inches tall. :cheer2: If we decided to stay on-site at Disney and Universal and not rent a car, what's the best way to move ourselves and our suitcases from Disney to a US hotel? We'll probably not go to a park that day, but we'll have to figure out when we can check in and drop off our bags and what to do, with suitcases in tow, during the time between Disney check-out and US check-in. Any advice?

Also, I know Disney has a free airport shuttle, but am I right in understanding that there's a fee for Universal's? What's the fee to get to the airport, and is there a cheaper way?

Thanks.

i thought i already answered this post, guess it was another person with the question.

anyway, many use car service or taxis when moving from the motherland resort to the darkside resorts.
taxi could be $35 for that move, car service can vary up to $55.

the onsite hotels for the darkside have town cars at each hotel.
valet can call the car for you when you want to leave for the airport.
it would be $50 for that trip.

i use private car service and pay $140 for a 3 leg trip.
mco -motherland -darkside -mco

the shuttles that the motherland resorts have for day trips to the darkside, do not allow luggage. (about $20 for adults, $16 for kids rt fares.)

i am assuming you have asked what to do with your luggage once you check out of the motherland resort and then arrive at the darkside resorts.

correct me if i have that wrong.
if i am not, then......

when you check into the darkside onsite hotels, valet, at no charge, will hold your luggage until your room is ready.
they will place it in your rooms, at your request, when it is ready to move into.

you could enjoy the pool, go to citywalk, do the mini golf, go to the cinema that day, explore the other hotels and their pools, etc, instead of hitting the parks when you check in.
