Recommended Restaurants at Resorts

I try the Wave!

This year we are trying:

Ohana Dinner (don't like the breakfast)
Whispering Canyon
Grand Floridian Cafe
Captain's Grille

These are my resort choices that I am trying for the first time. It seems that they are fairly highly rated (WCC pretty mixed reviews).

This is my first time staying on site since 1996, so I really wanted to tour some of the resorts. Especially since we are going in December and can't wait to see the Christmas decorations.

We are going to Captain's Grille after a day at HS (don't like any choices there) and then we can go view Beach Club and Boardwalk!!!

I have been to both Poly and GF before for meals, but I really enjoy them both. I ate at Spoodles back in 1998 (I think), so I have walked the Boardwalk. I am really excited about seeing the Wilderness Lodge!!

I love the thought of trying so many new restaraunts on this trip (yeah free dining)!!

Good Luck making your other choice! What about a before park opening ADR for breakfast (love those). I really enjoy CP and we are trying Norwary Princess Bkft this year and Donald breakfast at AK.

We are trying Captain's Grille this year since it is so close to the Boardwalk (staying at BWV). We will either go there after a day at DHS, or on a non-park day since it's nearby. They have a 3-course menu that is included in the 1 credit on the basic DDP. It is a small selections of some items on their traditional menu, and there are no substitutions allowed. Or you could go with the traditional entree of your choice and dessert of your choice for the basic DDP. The menu there looks very good!!

We are also planning to try The Wave at the Contemporary. I hear the food there is excellent. We're also going to Whispering Canyon. Yes there are mixed reviews but I want to judge for myself. No one HAS to get the skillet either, there are other choices on their menu.

TDC Nala suggested the Turf Club at SSR. While this is not at DTD, it might be a nice option, not too far from there, I think it is even walkable. I have never eaten there and there aren't that many reviews around. But I think the few I have read are quite positive!
