Although we just stayed at the GF last month, we're considering taking advantage of this continuing 4/7 deal in July. (Soutwest still has the $59 PHL>MCO as of right now) You can't do the split-stay thing with that deal, otherwise we would do BC+Poly.

We have 3 small kids, one of which will be about 1 year old at the time, and we use 2 strollers.

On one hand the BC has that awesome pool.. and it would be a new experience for us.

On the other hand, the Poly (where we've stayed before) has a decent pool, sandy beach on the Lagoon, monorail to MK, and Capt Cooks.

Which one?

BC!! I love the whole resort, including their pool! I like the look of the Poly too, although I've never stayed there. Try BC, I don't think you'll regret it.

I love BC, and Stormalong Bay is great, but you just CAN'T beat monorail access as far as I'm concerned.

I'd choose the monorail resort every time.

Ah, I forgot about the monorail! It sounds like monorail access would be beneficial to you guys...

so now I've basically contradicted myself in both of my posts :rotfl: .

If you think monorail access wouldn't be that important, try BC.

With small kids and strollers, don't think the monorail can be beat. I'd stick with the Poly while the kids are small and save BC for when they're older.

WE have stayed at both. I don't think you could go wrong with either, but if I had to pick I would pick BC- we love it there.

I say go try the BC, since you've never been. We've stayed at both, with small kids, and our kids LOVED the BC pool area, Hurricane Hannah's, Beaches and Cream, the walk to Epcot, etc.

Biggest plus; the BC pool complex feels MUCH less crowded than the Poly pool, which was loud and crowded at all times (we were there late August). At Stormalong Bay, you can always find quieter areas, especially area with the "beach" and about a max of 2 foot depth for the little ones.

The only thing the Poly has over BC is access to MK.

Personally, we love the Epcot resorts best. However, since you have the little ones and it's going to be hot as you know what in July...I'd stick with the Poly!! :)

With small kids, I imagine the Poly would be the best choice. Nothing beats quick and easy access to MK.

Both are very nice resorts, being in a Monorail resort has its bennies...but BC is in the middle of of Epcot and DHS very short walk, with strollers. And if your there over the 4th you can sit in the grass there by the bridge and watch Illuminations and not have to fight the crowds to leave the park. Plus with all the great dinning on the Boardwalk PLUS the Dinning in World Showcase.
I would chose BC, But hey they are BOTH great resorts. Shawnpirate:

With small kids I would go with the Polynesian because of the Monorail and because I think it's got a better theme and atmosphere then the Beach Club.

What a tough choice as they are both great resorts :goodvibes. But being you can only pick one with the 4/3 deal, I would have to say go with the Poly :). The monorail is a great convenience with little ones.......especially with 2 strollers :thumbsup2. Plus you can watch fireworks from the beach if you didn't want to fight the crowds getting out of the MK to get back to your resort ;).The Poly rooms are also bigger than the BC rooms. Have a magical trip :wizard:.

I also recommend the Polynesian due to the monorail access. If you're taking the bus from BC, you have to deal with folding two strollers while handling the 3 children. At the Poly, you could just roll the strollers right on the monorail with your child in them. In addition, the weather will be hot and humid. You will be needing to take a break in the afternoon. The monorail will give you faster access to get back to your hotel.

Have a great trip!

We both experienced staying in those two resorts, which is both great.:thumbsup2 But my voted is for Poly.:lmao:

Folks - thanks for the replies - much appreciated!

We're still kicking around the idea, but instead of the BC, it might be the YC for one reason... balconies! :)

Because of the heat and crowds, we'll likely go to the parks in the morning, and come back to the hotel by 1pm.

Advantage YC:
-bigger better pool, and the pool will feel less crowded than Poly's
-new experiences, including the Boardwalk

Advantage Poly:
-monorail w. kids
-Capt Cooks slightly better food selection
-electric parade and wishes from the beach at night

It's tough. This biggest issue comes down to YC pool vs Poly monorail/MK access

BC hands down.... If you go the week after 4th of July its not nearly as busy.

BC has balconies btw as well. Boardwalk is great too at night, and being able to walk at epcot is great. If you go during 4th of July you will love it, but it is extremely crowded and you have to reserve your pool seat when it opens up.
