DF and I are talking about things we want to do on our honeymoon, and the sweetheart dinner ranks high on my list!

Any recommendations? I've only been able to find the sweetheart dinner menu for Artist Point.

Here's my recommendation: Skip the $$$ Disney package and make your *own* sweetheart dinner. :thumbsup2 You'll have a wider selection of food to choose from, you can each get different entrees if you want, and you could probably buy souvenir toasting flutes at Downtown Disney and still not spend as much as the package costs.

Disney is already going to give you the royal treatment the moment they see your wedding mentioned on your ADR or your button or you tell them what you're celebrating! :teeth: I'm all for paying for special enhancements to our WDW trips, but IMHO the sweetheart dinner is the worst value of any of the experiences added for the Celebrate Today campaign.

We have had so many magical, romantic dinners at WDW restaurants for just the price of our meal (and maybe a special-ordered cake :rolleyes1). On our honeymoon and anniversary trips we frequently got the best seat in the house, personalized menus, confetti sprinkled on the table, or even free desserts, and we didn't have to pay for a special package to get any of it.

I agree with Carrie. We had our wedding meal at Artist Pointe before the Sweetheart dinner campaign and we receive a lot of pixie dust that meal. We received personalized menus, a table near the waterfalls and lake, free desert, and confetti on the table. When we got back to our room we had a free bottle of champagne and some toasting glasses from"Mickey Mouse" at least that what the card said. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. The second week of our honeymoon, we got our choice of a free bottle of wine or drinks at Coronado springs and an upgraded room view at both resorts. Just make sure you mention your wedding or honeymoon and hopoefully you will get lots of pixie dust too.

I was thinking of doing the sweetheart dinner at Narcoossees. We've never been there, but I've heard it's a good place to eat and I saw that you can add the sweetheart dinner. I didn't think the price seemed too bad to add that, the dinner itself will probably be expensive anyway.

Our wedding reception is ending at 3pm, so for our wedding night dinner I want to go somewhere and have a special experience. I'm afraid that if I don't book the sweetheart dinner, I won't get what I'm looking for. I'm not the type of person that would mention to a waiter that we just got married or are on our honeymoon, and I'm not too sure they always check your ADR to see what you're celebrating. I don't know, maybe I don't have enough faith that we'll be sprinkled with pixie dust, I just don't think it's safe to assume you'll get special treatment, that's just a sure way to be disappointed at the end of the night. But I don't know, maybe I'm wrong and Disney will end up surprising me, you just never know about these things!

If you're OK with the price and are shy about mentioning your celebration, then I say go for the package! It's just that my husband and I are very sociable penny-pinchers.... :rotfl:
