Recommendations for shuttle/tranportation

We fly into SNA, and I know there is the option to use the DisneyExpress. We are staying at the The Grand Californian. I was able to use my JetBlue points, so we need transportation from the hotel to LGB when we leave. Should we use DisneyExpress going to the hotel? What recommendations do you have for our transport from the hotel to LGB? It will be just my husband and I for our anniversary trip. Thank you!

I would take a taxi. It's the fastest and easiest way. Get a flat rate to the airport and I am sure that price wise it would be about the same.

We were just at DL and we used SuperShuttle. It was waiting for us when we got off the plane and got our bags, and were right on time when they picked us up. We have another trip in Sept and I think we will go with them again.

No need to arrange ahead of time as there are always cabs waiting. Usually there is an attendant there to help you get a cab, just ask for the flat rate to disneyland before you get in. Should be around $40.

Okay! Awesome. Is this also true when going from the hotel to the airport? Or should I arrange it in advance?

I asked something similar recently as we'll be traveling with 4 adults and 1 toddler to DLH. Based on advise, we'll be taking a cab as well. This way we'll be traveling on our own schedule and not having to deal with pickup and dropoff at other hotels, especially since my father-in-law gets very antsy about the schedule.

Is the flat rate fare also the same for (and are they available) the taxi vans? There are 5 of us and we won't fit in a regular cab. I usually do the exclusive service Super Shuttle, but $40 is cheaper than they are.
