I just ordered 6:00 Cirque tickets for our Christmas trip, and was curious what others have done for dinner with the same seating. Where have you eaten and what time did you make your PS? We are staying at the Boardwalk and will be relying on Disney transportation. We will have DS's 12 & 14 with us. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you have "fast feet", you can beat a path to House of Blues (they don't take PS). However, after the 6 p.m. Cirque show lets out, HOB can fill up fast.

If you don't mind a bit of a walk before dinner (it just revs up the appetite!), make a PS for Portobello Yacht Club. Another good place if your family craves seafood is Fulton's Crab House.

Personally, I'd opt for HOB -- the food is wonderful and very generous. The only downside is the wait.

I second the Portobello Yacht Club suggestion- absolutely fantastic meals here in terms of food, service and the dining room. Wolfgang Puck's Cafe is another option for really good California cuisine. As for House of Blues- I always seem to strike out and have awful everything.

If you were shooting for Portobello- I'd say an 8:15-8:30 reservation would be the way to go, just to give you enough time to get out of the theater and get to the restaurant. You can always check in early and see if they have seating.

Enjoy the show- it's outstanding!

What are your plans for the day before going to Cirque? Another offbeat option - have a really nice late lunch at one of the Boardwalk restaurants, then waddle over to Cirque.

After the performance, you can mosey over to the Garadhelli (sp?)Chocolate place and have a big 'ol ice cream sundae!

DO NOT - REPEAT - DO NOT go to Wolfgang Puck's after the 6pm show. They do not take PS reservations, and they will LIE to you about what time you will get in. We were STARVING, and they told us it would be a mere 20-30 minutes. 90 minutes later we were hounding them for our table. We ended up with the worst table in the house and a soggy margherita pizza. NOT WORTH IT!!!

(Okay, I know, a little harsh, but it is just my 2 cents).

Find somewhere (Portbello?) that will take a PS or eat a late late lunch and good luck!

My family & friends will be going to Bongos after our 6:00 Cirque. It's right there at West Side DTD. I will probably make a PS for 7:45 or 8:00. Though I can't do that 'til we are actually there at WDW. I will make sure we have a bite to eat before the show, but I just could not see myself eating dinner before the show: 1) Too early & 2) I'd feel rushed so that I could be there on time.

We usually like to eat at Fulton's Crab House after Cirque then a little later after some shopping go to Ghiradella's for ice-cream.

Thanks for asking this question! We too have 6:00 Cirque tickets, are staying at the Boardwalk, and will be using Disney transportation! My idea was to eat at Puck's afterware, go shopping, and then cap off the evening at Ghiradelli's. So thanks las3888 for the Pucks warning!

We've done Fulton's and I guess I need to look into Portobellos. This is one of our random, fun, play it by ear days so we may do "lunner" beforehand and dessert afterward. But one reason I picked the 6:00 show was so that we could talk about the amazing feats over dinner afterwards. If we go straight to shopping, we won't be able to discuss as well.

By the way, single digit dance!!
