Recommendations for Christms dinner

We are all to be in Disney this coming Christmas after our Western cruise and would like to all go out to eat on Christmas Day. We rather fancy Animal Kingdom Lodge and wonder if anyone could recommend either of the two restaurants there. Also any other recommendations would be gratefully received and if and how you can book these in advance.

I believe the two restaurants at AKL are Boma and Jiko.

My husband and I visited Jiko on our vacation this past Christmastime (not for Christmas dinner) and we loved it. We both enjoyed our meal very much and our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing both wine and food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We went to Artist's Palette for Christmas dinner and we were both disappointed with the experience. It didn't help that I was starting to get sick, but even so, it didn't live up to my expectations. Hope you have a wonderful time! We really enjoyed being there during the holidays.

Jiko is outstanding from service to food to ambiance!

I've been to Boma and that was a fantastic restaurant. The food was very good. I have never been to Jiko but from what I understand, Jiko is a little more fancy.

My wife has celiac disease. Can anyone recommend a restaurant that has a good gluten free menu?

Sorry for those that don't know ... celiacs can't eat any products with wheat flour (ie. breads, pasta, etc.).

appleseed--look over on the DISabilities board, I'm sure there is info about WDW and celiacs over there. I've read that the chefs at WDW will prepare meals that are safe for any food allergy/intolerance. Allearsnet did a report about dining at WDW with celiac's also. Be sure to have a note made on your ADRs about it.
