Recommendations for a Heathrow hotel?

Looking for a decent priced hotel near Heathrow, either close to the airport or near the car rental return place (not sure where it is, but I know it's off the airport and you have to get the bus).

We've stayed at a few places before but the prices seem to of soared since the last time we were at Heathrow.

Anyone recommend anywhere?

we stayed at the Marriott Heathrow, Hilton Heathrow and Crowne Plaza Heathrow. All were good, did what they said on the tin!

Although my choice now if I had no kids would be the new Yotel in the airport .... funky looking, very cheap, and inside the terminal.

But if you want comfort and luxury that might not be what you want !

Best of the lot .... the Hilton right on terminal 4.

Check out www.holidayextras.co.uk and look at the description of the 'undercover' or mystery hotels.

We have always booked our Heathrow hotels this way and got very good prices, both with parking when we've needed it or not.

We've stayed at the Crowne Plaza, Park Inn and last month at the Sheraton Skyline - would recommend any of these.

With the undercover hotel you don't know which one it is until you've booked, but if you read the descriptions, go for one that is c.1mile from airport and it will be one of the above.

We have booked the Marriott on Bath Road for next June, £99 inc 14 nights parking, so a good price as it is a Friday night. Weekdays are always expensive at airport hotels due to business people travelling.
