Recommendations for a GOOD underwater camera

I'm looking for recommendations on a good but affordable underwater camera. I would like to keep to under $300. Looking for something good to take to water parks as well as snorkeling.

I bought the Nikon Coolpix AW100 which was right about $300 if I recall. Make sure you buy the extra thing that you put on your wrist that makes it float. I bought the Kodak one and even shored up the detachable clip with a hair elastic. We used it in the salty waters of Jamaica and it did just fine. Nice camera!

I've used it in the pool, at waterparks, on cruises (takes GREAT pics in that beautiful Caribbean water)
