Recommendations For 6 Adults

Hi folks,
I'm looking for WDW property recommendations that can accommodate 6 adults. I see a couple resorts have 3 BR units but, according to the WDW web site, the 3rd BR only has bunk beds. :sad1: Anyone have thoughts / recommendations?

All the Disney Vacation Club resorts offer 2 bedroom villas which sleep up to 8. Some of them will have a master bedroom with king, bedroom with 2 queens and a pull out couch in the living room (I recommend Old Key West, they are HUGE). Some resorts' 2 bedroom villas will have master with king, bedroom with 1 queen and pullout couch, and additional pullout couch in living room. (some also have an additional sleeper chair, making them sleep 9 total)

Several of the DVC resorts (Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Bay Lake and Boardwalk) offer three bedroom grand villas, which sleep 12 or 13. The only ones with bunk beds are the tree house villas at Saratoga Springs. They also offer regular grand villas in the regular section of the resort.

All of those options (especially the grand villas) will be extremely pricey to reserve through Disney. If you really want to get a 2 or 3 bedroom villas I highly suggest renting points from a DVC owner.

All that said, by far your most economical option would be to get 2 regular rooms. You'd get more beds that way anyway. You could probably even get three rooms at a value resort for less than a 2bedroom villa would cost.

I would go with two regular rooms at the resort of your choice. I would recommend Coronado Springs or a deluxe resort so that you have queen beds rather than full at the other moderates and value resorts. You can request that they are connecting or adjoining if you wish.

When you say 6 adults, do you mean 3 couples? We just had a trip with 6 adults, but we were one couple, and 4 singles. All 4 singles needed their own bed. So we did 3 rooms for the first half of the trip...2 adults in each room, and then we rented points for a 2 bedroom at OKW. Both places worked out great for us. If you are 3 couples, get 3 rooms if you want privacy. If privacy is not an issue, a 2 bedroom villa can work.

Yup, it would be 3 couples. My parents, my sister and her husband and my wife and I. I was really hoping for 3 separate bedrooms b/c I'm hearing most of the pull-out beds are a disaster. We all get along alright but I don't think having 2 couples in the same bedroom would work out. Looking at the prices the could get 3 separate rooms (with a great view) at a moderate resort for about the same price as a 3 BR villa. Sounds like I need to do some research on how the whole renting points work.

P.S. Sorry for posting this in the wrong forum. I didn't realize I was still in the discount codes forum! If there is an admin listening I would appreciate moving it into the appropriate location.
