We just booked our first ever WDW trip!! We're staying at the VWL from 9/17-9/24. We are thinking of booking the Cinderella lunch and the Wonderland Tea party for our 4 yo DD. What other dinner restaurants would you recommend as a must try? We're going to stay flexible on breakfast and lunches but would like to enjoy a few good dinners.

Thanks!

Oh my goodness! How exciting for you! Ok ok let's see.

We love the Hoop Dee Doo revue! That's a great time and we usually do it on a non park day, its a great trip opener.

At MK, we love Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner, best charactures anywhere. Crystal palace is one of our favorite buffets and MK has the best counter service in all of WDW (we like Pecos Bills)

At MGM, we have tried all three of the Fantasmic dinner package places to eat and Mama Melrose is the hands down best place to eat of the three. We had a good time at the 50's Prime Time Diner, too.

At AK, we always eat at Donald's Breakfast way before park opening to beat the bottlenecking that always happens when the park opens.

At Epcot, if you can get a PS at Rose and Crown for 7-7:15 its a great place to dine and then stay for Illuminations. Another good place is Coral Reef. We arrive early and ask for a tank side table and the kids have their noses to the glass the entire time.

At resorts, we have a few musts:

Whispering Canyon @ WL
Cape May Cafe @ BC for dinner, seafood buffet is great
Narccoosses @ GF has the best dessert, Almond Crusted Cheesecake YUMMMMM

San Angel Inn @ Epcot is to be avoided at all costs.

At Magic Kingdom- go to Liberty Tree Tavern. The food is excellent, and the characters are great. You won't really get this type of food served this way anywhere else in WDW. Crystal Palace is also a really good buffet. We love breakfast there especially.

At Epcot-Try Le Cellier Steakhouse. We're going there for the first time this year, but I've heard so many great reviews that I'm confident in recommending it before I've even gone there!

At MGM- 50s Prime Time Cafe is a fun meal. We haven't really had any other table service there to compare it with.

If you want a fun meal, with possibly annoying antics, go right to Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge.

Hoop Dee Doo Revue is a very popular dinner show, with really good food!

If you can't get CRT for lunch, I would suggest 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, & Suzy & Perla. I think your dd would love it. My dd's also enjoyed Crystal Palace at MK and Chef Mickeys at the Cotemporary. Enjoy planning.

We have been to WDW 3 years in a row with young kids. Our favorite places are 'Ohana for dinner, CRT for lunch and 1900 PF for dinner. People have been complaining about the price of CRT. It was worth every penny! We had such a magical time and our food was very good. 'Ohana is my (the Mom) favorite place for dinner. They have great frozen drinks. I have been there before and after the menu changes and it is still great. You are going to have a great time. Try to live in the moment and absorb in all the magic.

Chef Mickey's - Contemporary Resort
Hoop Dee Doo - Ft. Wilderness
50's Primetime - MGM

crystal palace is one of my 3 year old niece's favorite things in disney

I would highly recommend Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's for breakfast or dinner. Your four year old will love the characters. The food is quite good at both places. Have a great trip!

Cyrstal Palace breakfast and Ohana dinner....have a great time!

--Hoop Dee Doo is a great dinner show that I think everyone should experience atleast once (it's at Fort Wilderness).
--The Crystal Palace is a character buffet at the Magic Kingdom.
--In Epcot, Le Cellier Steakhouse is a big hit with a lot of people on this board, and I think it's a good restaurant
--MGM has the Brown Derby which is delicious, but there is also Mama Melroses. They are both good, I think it depends on your preference of food.

Welcome to the boards and Happy Planning.

Thanks everyone for all of the great suggestions.

We are going to CRT for lunch, Whispering Canyon for dinner, Ohana for dinner, Boma for dinner. For the other meals, we're either going to cook something quick and easy at the villa or get something over the counter.

And I also booked the Tea Party for my 3.5 yo DD.

BTW, we were offered the Halloween thing on 9/22. Has anyone been to that? We were told that the park would close at 7 PM and then the Halloween party would start. All the characters will be in costume and the kids can go trick or treating. Sounds fun but then it's $37 per adult and $29 per child. :confused3
