Recommendation for a town car service

When we were planning our trip we wanted to use a car service to get from the airport to our hotel. We were flying for 15 hrs and didn't want to wait around for the bus, circle the airport for ages to fill up a shuttle or risk the cost of a taxi. There are so many companies out there that I thought I'd share my experience to hopefully help someone else trying to make that decision. We went with DKs Livery. They have a flat domestic rate of $90 including all gratuities, taxes etc, international it was $98. Our driver, Steve, was waiting for us as we walked through the exit with a sign with our name and a trolley for our bags. We went straight to the car - a nice clean black suv - and out of the airport within 5 minutes of walking out of customs! Traffic was light so we got to our hotel quickly. We were so happy with the service that we used it again for our transfer from Anaheim to Santa Monica. I can't compare to other services but I know from my research that the price was very reasonable and I highly recommend this service to anyone looking for a towncar.

We used DK Livery, $175/RT from LAX. They were great and we will definitely use them again.

I am planning on using them as well from SNA to the VGC and want to make my reservations this week. Would you mind telling me what the cost was for you? Did you do a round-trip reservation? Have a great trip! We will be there in a few weeks so any advice you can give from your experience is appreciated. I have really appreciated the great informational threads on the Dis.

Also, another question. Do you pay when you make reservations, or at the time of pickup? I prefer to pay ahead to get it out of the way. Also, do they charge more for a grocery stop, or is it included? I too will be flying into LAX. Thanks!

According to the web site, one 20 min grocery stop is included. Wow!
