Recommend Fantasy servers!

So our third cruise will be in January. I’m a little jealous of everyone who has had an amazing experience with their servers and would love to experience this for myself! Our first cruise on the Dream I suspect was a combination of reasons that it did not go smoothly. We were traveling with friends whose child has a long list of anaphylactic food allergies and our serving team felt burdened by the parameters, and honestly didn’t make any of us feel great about it. Additionally, our main server told us it was his last cruise ever after 12 years of service and he seemed a bit disgruntled overall.

We cruised alone without friends the second time, and had no special requests or issues. We showed up on time, ordered from the menu and didn’t have weird requests or anything for our team, our kids are well behaved etc. The service was perfunctory and the push for an excellent rating was laid on blatantly and heavily from the first night. My DS8 and DS6 would love to see some of the fun interaction that they see from servers on YouTube’s etc, not to mention the tables around us on past sailings. One night we skipped the MDR and did Cabanas table service and our waiter there was outstanding. I know he was in training but we could tell he was eager to please and told us he was working on his first magic trick which he tried out for the kids. They loved it even though it was a bit clumsy and we got a small taste of what it would be like to have a server who was interactive. We gave him an amazing shoutout on the comment card because he really tried so hard. Anyway, we’re not difficult to please and we’d love to have some fun with our servers on the next cruise...any recs?

Maria from Grenada. We didn't have her but observed her interacting with kids/families. She was fantastic and even though we were a table of adults, she joked around and went out of her way to interact. Next time we are on the Fantasy, we will definitely request her.

We had Juan as a server. He did magic tricks and puzzles for all his tables, the ones across the way and for our adult only table. He was a lot of fun and would 100% recommend him.

We absolutely adore her, she's so sassy... and fun, and caring, and cheerful, and always in a good mood. Our favorite.
We had her on our last cruise in July and in 2 other ones. The best was when she was teamed with Agus Oka. When it was the 2 of them it was the best Server/AS team on the ship. Sadly a couple of years ago they separated them, and now we're conflicted about who to ask for, Agus or Maria. They're our favorites.
Besides Agus Oka and Maria Peters (I put her full name so ppl can ask for her) other good ones are:

Bruno was amazing! Made our whole party feel special and we are all adults. On our last night I asked him to pick my meal as I could not decide. It was such a fun experience!

We are going in January. Bruno sounds like someone we would like because we also are all adults. Its my husbands retirement cruise with our 4 adult children. He is a fan of Bruno Mars also. When was your cruise? Do you think he might still be on the Fantasy?

You can call DCL to make the request. You should call at least 3 weeks before your cruise. From what I've heard, they start making dining assignments around 2 weeks before sailing.

But I will say I generally recommend against making a server request unless it's a server you've had before and enjoyed. A server someone else has enjoyed may not be to your liking.
