I am thinking of bringing our chihuahua @ staying off site but I need some suggestions. We haven't had very good luck with "pet friendly" hotels. The few times we've tried we were stuck in gross rooms with messed up carpet and pet stains. My puppy only weighs 5 pounds and is very nervous if she hears other dogs. I would prefer a hotel where having a dog is the exception and not the norm.

Anyway, thanks and any suggestions would be appreciated!

All three of the Lowe's hotels at Universal Studios Florida (Royal Pacific, Hard Rock and Portofino Bay) allow pets and are very pet friendly. How does pet room service sound? I kid you not:D

If you go to www.hotelkingdom.com and key in the dates for your Orlando stay, it brings up a listing of all their available hotels. The ones with the little dog symbol next to the listing all allow pets.

Good luck.

Country Inn and Suites Calypso Cay is Pet friendly and the hotel is very nice.

La Qunita - was very nice - Spicey is a cat - so you know he would have fit - if he smelled dog where he slept.....

I know that most Amerisuites and are pet friendly and don't charge extra. When I was moving with my cats we stayed in one (not in Orlando) and the room they gave us was a nice normal room. There a a few in the Orlando area you could check out.
