Hi all.

Last February myself and my OH had booked Paris for October, we availed of the sky tickets for Disneyland and on impulse booked our flights arriving friday departing Tuesday. Since that time a couple of things came up and money is very tight. We decided we wouldn't go on our October trip but over the weekend I decided feck it we'll go because we have already spent E500.

We are staying in the Kyraid from the Saturday night to Tuesday. So now we need a reasonable priced hotel for the Friday night. The whole idea of the trip was to finally see some of the sites in paris. We are coming from CDG and the plan was to take the train into Paris. I would like a hotel near a train station. We are getting into CDG at 3 on the Friday and would like to see some of the sites Friday evening and then we will check out of the hotel Saturday morning, leave the luggage somewhere and spend the day in Paris and head over to Kyraid by train on the Saturday evening.

So if anyone has any suggestions of a nice hotel in around E150 for both of us that will be easy to get to from train station coming from CDG and then easy for us to get train to DLP.

Thanks for reading my ramblings and any suggestions appreciated..

Ive stayed in Hotel Riviera 4 times. It is just off the champs élysées. A superiors double is about €112 a night.

You can get a bus from CDG to the Place Charles De Gaulle and the hotel is a two minute walk away. The buses are run by Air France and are very efficient. Each bus has a separate luggage compartment for each of the four stops so your luggage is only available to take when u get to your specified stop! I was worrying a lot that it might get stolen but the buses are run well.

Then in relation to the train, there is a metro atop at Place Charles de Gaulle.

The hotel was renovated last year and the rooms are lovely. The owner gave me a tour of the new rooms when I was there last week!

Hi laura thanks for your suggestion i just booked it. Is there anywhere near the hotel you would recommend for brekkie?

Brekkie in the hotel is a rip off. We used to go to the shop around the corner and buy fruit and water for breakfast. At the top of the road are a couple of cafes that do breakfast and there's a McDonalds nearby too! :)
