Recommend a great CS at the Boardwalk!

Hey! I'm thinking about ordering a cake from BWBakery! Can anyone tell me a great CS to take my DH and kids to? (They are 9 and 10 and love regular kid foods!)

You might want to get the Hollywood Studios boat over to the Yacht and Beach Club resort and have something to eat at Beaches and Cream. Not a counter service dredit on the dining plan but worth paying out of pocket for!

Like Jel said, there is no counter service other than the Boardwalk Bakery at the Boardwalk. Your other option is taking the five minute walk to EPCOT and going to one of the counter service restaurants there. Perhaps for fish and chips at the UK pavillion?

the only counter service at the boardwalk is the bakery, which you can only purchase sandwiches, cakes and pastries from. There is only limited seating outside as wel so might not be much of a place to visit for you.

other side of the lake is Beaches and Cream. Great burgers and the kitchen sink which you won't need with the cake. There is also the pizza window which I have never tried.

There really are no counter service restaurants at the Boardwalk. The availability of CS food is also very limited if you are on the dining plan.

The only approximations of CS restaurants in the Boardwalk area are the Boardwalk Bakery (no inside seating) and the Beach Club Marketplace (very little inside seating) which aren't anything like food courts - their menus are pretty limited and no "kid food" like burgers, chicken nuggets or pizza is available. If what you want to do is use a dining plan CS credit, probably the best you can get is Hurricane Hanna's, located at the Yacht/Beach pool (you don't have to enter the pool perimeter to go there). They have hamburgers, hot dogs and grilled cheese, and kids' meals are apparently served in a plastic pail.

If you're not on the dining plan, there are kiosks along the Boardwalk where you can buy hot dogs, there's the Boardwalk pizza window, and there is also the Fountain at the Dolphin (not really a CS, more like Beaches & Cream) and Picabu, also at the Dolphin (a cafeteria setup with a big selection).

Yes, there is no CS at the BW/BWV but when we stay at BWV's and are looking for CS's we go to Boardwalk Bakery (great sandwiches, fruit etc.) Sometimes we either take the boat or walk from BWV to BC to the Beach Club Marketplace (good sandwiches, cookies, and great clam chowder) I'm not sure but I think they still may have the Pizza window open where Spoodles used to be.

Is the pizza window still open? I have not been there since Spoodles closed. Does anyone know that has been there recently?

The pizza window's open, it is now called the Boardwalk Pizza Window since Spoodles no longer exists. This is an option, but it is not a "restaurant" as it has no indoor seating (in fact there's no part of this place that is indoors at all). There's limited seating on the Boardwalk. They don't accept the dining plan, so if one is looking for a place that takes the dining plan it's not an option.

Thank you for your reply. I am happy to hear that the window is still open. Many times, we have enjoyed getting pizza and just sitting at the boardwalk, relaxing and just taking in the atmosphere. So happy to hear that we can still do that!
