Please forgive me if this has been asked. I was mortified to see the massive amount of leftover ham we have and am not someone who likes to waste food. The only things I can think of are mac n' cheese with ham and ham and eggs. Are there any other ideas out there for tasty meals?

I cut up leftover ham and mix it into cheesy potato casserole or scalloped potatoes.

last week on the food channel i saw a show where they used leftover ham on homemade sweet potato biscuits with a blackberry drizzle. the recipe for the biscuits looked really simple and i'm trying it myself tomorrow :goodvibes

I would use some for sandwiches for a day or so. I make Quiche... super easy! I would make a few in the frozen pie crusts, cook them and throw in the freezer. Maybe a ham and bean soup..... I also dont have any problems freezing it in smaller portions, keeping wrapped really well and pulling out to use as needed.

I have a ton of leftover ham so dinners next week will be mac & cheese pie (with ham and broccoli in it), Hawaiian pizza and white bean and ham soup.

I freeze and put in a stir fry, fried rice or on pizza. I will also make chef salads. If I am really ambitious, I will make pasta fagioli soup.

:thumbsup2

Ham freezes awesome, when ready to eat put in a pan with a little water cover with foil and bake until hot ....it comes out great!

Ham and Potato Soup. YUMMY!

I would freeze it, though, if you have a lot leftover. You can use it in a lot of different dishes and it may last you awhile.

In omelettes, as a topping on pizza, in sandwiches, in grilled ham 'n' cheese sandwiches?

We are having scalloped potatoes with ham later this week. Using the bone tomorrow to make split pea soup in the crockpot. The rest will get frozen for later dinners. :goodvibes

We usually freeze the bone, and use it later for something like black eyed pea soup or ham and beans, both in the crockpot.

My favorite for leftover ham was chopping it up, and mixing it up with pasta, alfredo sauce, and peas. Super easy, super YUM

I don't have an exact recipe for this but it's a fav after ham dinners: Use 2 tubes of crescent rolls. Unroll them, but dont seperate into triangles. Press the rectangles together on a parchemnt covered cookie sheet, making one long rectangle. In a bowl, mix leftover chopped ham, a squirt of mustard, some frozen broccoli (rinse under water to thaw) some shredded cheese, a couple of spoonfulls of mayo. Should equal about 4 cups. pile this down the middle of the roll dough. slash the dough edges and fold them over the ham mixture, over lapping, paint with an egg wash, sprinkle with poppy seeds if you want and bake till brown and bubbly! I have also made this inot a ring on a pizza stone to bake. Good stuff!

I love to make ham and broccoli pita/hot pockets.

Purchase the frozen loaves of dough (like Rhode's, or make from scratch) and divide into 4-6 balls. Roll & stretch each ball out in a circle. Spoon a mound of filling on half of each dough circle before folding over the other half and pinching shut, forming a sealed pocket. Slit tops of pockets to vent steam. Bake according to frozen dough directions (all you are trying to do is bake the dough and heat the filling).

Filling: Mix cottage cheese, cooked chopped broccoli, cubed ham, and swiss cheese (optional) together. That's it! :)

It is one of my quick go-to meals when I have leftover ham or turkey from holidays. You can mix in your own favorite ingredients, or vary the cheeses you use.

This is a pampered chef recipe and can be found if you google ham broccoli braid. Yum! My other favorite leftover ham recipe is to make pineapple fried rice. Basically fried rice with ham, pineapple, peas, onions and cashews! HTH!

I go to the bakery at BJ's and get two big boxes of their croissants and a 2lb package of the pre-sliced Swiss cheese. I make up sandwiches and freeze individually in tin foil. Perfect for the toaster oven in a pinch.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned my 2 favorites, ham salad and ham loaf!

Easy ham and cheese bites.

Ingredients

1 cup Smithfield ham, diced
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, finely shredded
1 can crescent dough
Honey mustard for dipping

Steps
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Unroll crescent dough. Cut each segment into three equal sized parts. Place a generous pinch of the cheese over the dough. Top with a spoon full of diced ham. Wrap dough around the ham and cheese, pinching and positioning to completely cover. Place on a parchment-paper lined sheet tray with seam side down. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Serve with your favorite honey mustard for dipping.

Ham and potato soup! Yum! Here is the recipe as it is written, followed by my substitutions!

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups peeled and diced potatoes
1/3 cup diced celery
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 cup diced cooked ham
3 1/4 cups water
2 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 teaspoon ground white or black pepper, or to taste
5 tablespoons butter
5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk

Directions
1. Combine the potatoes, celery, onion, ham and water in a stockpot. Bring to a boil, then cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in the chicken bouillon, salt and pepper.
2. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour with a fork, and cook, stirring constantly until thick, about 1 minute. Slowly stir in milk as not to allow lumps to form until all of the milk has been added. Continue stirring over medium-low heat until thick, 4 to 5 minutes.
3. Stir the milk mixture into the stockpot, and cook soup until heated through. Serve immediately.

When I make it, I add a can of corn, drained. I also use an extra diced potato to make it thicker. I also add shredded carrots.I never use chicken buillion I just use chicken stock instead of water. I add shredded cheese too. I have also used this recipe with bacon in place of ham. Anyway, it always comes out delish. I make a double bath cuz it gets eaten fast in our house.
