so, thanks everyone for your ideas. I was trying to find a recipe that was more meal based, and this is what I ended up with (and boy was it good!!!)
Pasta Tetrazzine
16 ozs spaghetti
1 stick butter
1 onion (chopped)
2 T. garlic
1/2 cup flour
2 cups milk
6 hard-boiled eggs (chopped)
4 ozs mushroom (stems and pieces)
4 bacon slices, crumbled
1 tsp salt
12 tsp pepper
12 tsp paprika
1. Prepare spaghetti as label directs; drain and place in baking dish.
2. Meanwhile, in 3 quart saucepan add the butter and when melted add garlic and chopped onions an cook till tender, about 5 minutes; stir in flour until blended.
3. Gradually stir in milk and cook stirring constantly until mixture is thickened; stir in chopped eggs, mushrooms, bacon, salt, pepper and paprika till well blended.
4. Put cooked spaghetti in sauce and mix until thoroughly covered.
very easy and my husband loved it!
