reception site tour

I got engaged in June (at the California Grill during Wishes) and now I am considering a Disney wedding. I have the planning video and brochure and have checked for information online but I still have a lot of questions. Does anyone know if it is possible to meet with someone from FTW before signing a contract? I will be in orlando at the end of the month and would like a tour of some possible reception/ceremony locations. Has anyone done this before signing a contract?

This is definately possible. All that you need to do is call someone at Disney Weddings and explain what you would like to do. I did this last month with Kristy and she was very helpful. I hope that this helps.

I am scheduled to meet with my Disney Wedding Sales Consultant in October. Since we already are convinced we are going with Disney, she said she will switch gears and show us different things than her normal sales meetings. She is taking us on site inspections and to look at books to start planning details.

We did this about a year before our target wedding date. DH was a bit on the fence about what to do, he knew it would be a long trip for his family and he wasn't sure who, if anyone, would come. We got tours of the GF, Yacht Club and Boardwalk, along with Living Seas VIP lounge and the American Adventure areas you can use. DH was convinced at the end of that day it was totally worth it to plan our wedding there. We then decided what elements we wanted to include, and then selected a few target dates and at 8 months out we found out that our 2nd choice for a date was available at all of our desired locations. We booked it immediately!
