Hello Everyone! I am starting to plan my Disney wedding and have several questions because i don't know where to start.

First, we are planning on April 2010. is it too soon to give Disney a call? I know I can't officially book until 12 months in advance but am not sure what the protocol is?

Second, we want a morning ceremony with a luncheon at the Seven Seas place in Epcot? Do they have a dance floor or do I need to book a custom floor? which brings me to question 3... at disney receptions, do the bride and groom get to do all the traditional dances (i.e. first dance... father/daughter... mother/son) or should we do an evening reception to do these?

I've never been to a destination wedding nor seen one while vacationing and don't really know where to start... Thank you so much in advance!! All suggestions are highly welcomed! (even those not pertaining to my specific questions)

How exciting to start the planning! I know most brides wait until 18 months out before contacting Disney. So research research research until then!! Also, you can make your wedding as traditional or as non traditional as you want with all the dances. I don't know particulars about your location. But, figmentfan (Vanessa) had her reception there. Her trip report hasn't gotten to the reception yet but her PJ probably has info on it.

Vanessa has been a HUGE help to me, her pj, tr and the info she's sent me via email has been endlessly helpful. She will totally answer any question you have about the venue, I'm sure of it. :)

Congrats girl!! Have you decided between an escape or wishes?

I am sure they have a place to dance in there. I am having my reception at the attic and there is no dance floor there and we are still doing the traditional dances. I am sure if you want something Disney will do whatever they can to accomodate you. I am sure you could give disney a call and set up a site visit maybe?
