I had read at one point that the semi-formal and formal nights had been switched. Now I am confused which one is which. For any of you Western Cruisers who were recently on the Magic. Which night was semi-formal and which night was formal?

Thanks!

And one more questions… which night was the Golden Mickeys show?

We were on the 1/03 Magic Western and the formal night was monday night the first "at sea" day and the semi-formal was Thursday night the second "at sea" day.

Hey Kim,

I have been confused too. The best we can do is go by what the DCL Dining Coordinator told me over the phone last week. Formal is Day 3, Monday and Semi-Formal is Day 6, Thursday. We are in Lumiere's both nights so if that's not right, I'll be ok. I know that can be frustrating if you are trying to plan a night at Palo.

That was right for the 20th dec cruise and the Golden Mickeys was on the Monday too. it was great fun walking down the red carpet in our formal gear just as if we were heading for the oscars, an experience not to be missed

I can verify what Lyn said.

She and DH looked terrific!

Thanks, I think I have it straight now! Formal night is Monday as is the Golden Mickeys. Semi-formal night on Thursday.

thanks again!:sunny:

Formal vs. semi-formal dress........

I will be renting a tux for the 7-day western....wear the tux both nights? Is it done that way by most who have tuxes with them? Or will I need a suit coat in addition to the tux?

Jeff
:(

Jeff and I were thinking of the same question. We are renting tuxes for my DH and DSs. I'm hoping they are able to wear them for both formal and semi-formal. Is this ok?

jbix00 - past experience I have had cruising - tux can be worn on both nights. talk with you soon. Also, you may want to make a call to your TA re: the rental information as I have been reading a lot of messages where docs from Expedia were quite late in arriving. Macker
