We just returned from another wonderful trip, but I discovered some things I thought I'd pass along.
1. We always love to sit and watch the street performers at MGM. We noticed new people and didn't see a few of our favorites. Well, after speaking with several performers, we finally got one to give us a little information. Apparently, they got a new director or producer, and many people either left or were asked to leave. For example, Roman Holiday aka Stanley is gone! In fact, she said he is over at Animal Kingdom doing Flights of Wonder. Also, The Great HP has changed his name to Jack Diamond. It was sort of sad, as they have become like old friends.
2. No more loungers at Typhoon Lagoon. Only beach chairs. I was told that the beach chairs take up less space and they can get more of them in there for their very busy days. Couldn't believe it. I tried to devise a lounger with a few chairs, but no luck. So, there will be no lying down or snoozine at Typhoon Lagoon. Didn't go to Blizzard Beach, but I assume they are going the same route.
3. Last but not least........no more M & M cookies at Port Orleans. Can you believe it? Actually, it is probably better and I always ate way too many, but what a shock. Almost as bad as in December when they explained to my husband that banana splits were no more. (Said that it was too time consuming to make them, as you have to peel the bananas, etc.) I asked the manager about the cookies and she said "I didn't know we didn't have them any more." She went off and asked, and the employees said they were told to no longer order them. Hmmmmmmm....wonder who issued that order and why?
Anyway, those are just 3 observations that left me shaking my head. Other than that, we had a great time with wonderful weather.
