I was wondering if anyone has eaten at Trail's End recently and what your experience was. We've never eaten there, but thought we might try it out this year. Thanks for your help!

Not sure if this is recent enough...but it was wonderful back in August 09. Also, our waitress was the best we've ever had at any WDW restaurant. Yummy, Great Service, and a Bargain (bargain by Disney Standards, of course).

IMO, Trail's End has the best fried chicken of anywhere (in or out of WDW).

We were there on Dec. 10 for dinner. It was delicious!!! Trail's End has been added to our must-do every trip list. Great Southern style food - fried chicken, barbeque ribs, roast beef, chilli, vegetable soup, au gratin potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, corn bread, etc. Waitress was super nice and really fast at clearing plates. Not too crowded but the buffet line is small so expect to wait behind a few people. We loved the decor and felt right at home. At $22.99 per adult it was a great bang for our buck!

We ate there for dinner in Apr. 09 and even though some may not consider it the best bang for buck on the dining plan, it was one of our favorite meals. The food was delicious and it was a much more relaxed atmosphere than the other restaurants. It was nice to feel like we got away from the hustle and bustle just for a little while.

Breakfast is a must do for us. We also love the fried chicken and have gotten Pizza's to go from there as well. All have been good.
They always have really nice buffet.

Another :thumbsup2 from us. Great chicken and ribs - basically the Hoop-De-Doo food without the pricey show.

Here's a tip if you use Photopass. There is a photographer outside the HDD (next door to TE), so make sure you get the Ft. Wilderness shot while you're there for dinner. We didn't notice him until it was too late and we were on our way home.

Trail's End sounds great. It's on the list. And, since we stay at the Wilderness Lodge, it's actually right next door. We like to walk on the trail between the two resorts, so, we can walk off all that food on the way back after dinner. Thanks again for your help!

We tried TE for the first time last summer and enjoyed it so much we made a point to go back on a very short trip last month. Again, we had another great meal and the kids are adamant that we have to eat there again this summer. I'm not against it either. ;)

In one word: YUMMO!!!
Would we go back? For sure! It's now a must do!
We went on December 12, even though the date is wrong on the picture :)

DH and I love Trail's End-ALOT!
We eat there often and have enjoyed everything!!

They have the BEST Sweet Tea!

We will be at The Fort in a few weeks and plan on trying out TE even though we don't have a ressie. I have heard that it's not hard to get into without them. Hope it's true!

Sounds like everyone replying had the dinner buffet, any opinions on lunch? Dinner sounds great!

Thanks for all the great reviews!! We are trying Trail's End for the first time during our next trip. We did the Hoop-Dee-Doo this past June so this time we'll get the same food for less money. :thumbsup2 I don't know if we need an ADR but I went ahead and made one just in case.
