Recent National Mini-Van Renters

What type of car did you get?

I've heard of people getting Chevy's, but the National website say Toyota's.

Just curious!

in Jan & May 2005 we got a Dodge Caravan through National. I also remember seeing Chevy Ventures (at the time) on the aisle.

We picked the Caravan for the extra room in the trunk area (goes down deeper) & "hidden" storage areas throughout the floorboards so we could fit all our things in the van.

Hopefully someone will have more recent experience for you.

When we went in July there were a ton of brand new toyota siennas

Toyota Siennas???? Wow ... I am praying that they are there when we go!!! We want to buy one in two years when our lease is up for our Pontiac Montana ... I'd love to drive one for a week!!!! Anyone else seen Siennas? I always thought most stuff was domestic ... we usually get a Dodge Grand Caravan and we do like it too. Last time we were down there were the Caravans, Town and Country, Pontiac SV6, tons of Ventures ... usually a good selection!

Oooh, this is a good question. We just booked our National minivan for our May trip. the website said "Chevy Ventura or similar." Good to know the range that's on offer, and thanks for the tip on the Caravan trunk, Mickey and Minnie Mom. Not owning a minivan ourselves, I would never have known that.

We just rented in January from National out of SC. I think my husband said it was all Chevy's there to choose from. He chose the Uplander, not just b/c of the safety rating (we had checked before renting) but it came with the DVD system and with three kids, well... it was a no brainer.
But I do remember him saying on their web site Sienna's were listed.

we got a minivan this past August...we reserved a full size, but they were out of full size when we got there. The attendant told us to take anything off the executive aisle, so we took a Chevy Uplander, but I did see Toyota Sienna's in the minivan aisle. I would have rather taken the Sienna, but there were none on the executive aisle and I was in a rush to just get something and get out of there.
