Recent Lamplight Lounge experiences?

I'm considering making a reservation at Lamplight when we go in October. I'm a bit hesitant though. I remember hearing bad stories about their coordination when getting people a table. Something about checking in, being sent upstairs, waiting, being told to go downstairs again, and then finally being sat at a table. Is this still a normal practice there? If so, we may just skip the reservations and do a walk-up for bar seating and a snack.

It's still a process. Check in, wait to go downstairs, get downstairs, wait again for your table. But, I will say, they seem to have gotten their stuff together in the kitchen and serving teams. We went on July 5 and it was a much better experience than my prior 3.

We’ve gone twice in July, and as noted by PP, it is still a process getting to a table (wait upstairs, get a text, wait downstairs), but once you’re seated, it’s a great experience!
