I found recent posts very helpful, so I wanted to share a few tips and our experience as a bigger group.
Party of 10 (but one is an infant, so 9 fastpasses) traveling Oct 10-17. We wanted almost all FP either between 10-12 or between 4-6 (kids and naps and bedtimes oh my!).
We got nearly all of our ideal times, and even had the chance to move some things around today. Included our perfect times for Toy Story, Soarin, and even 7DMT on the earlier MK day (we started with it later in the week but were able to move it up, very nice!).
We did get Anna & Elsa (must-do for the three year old girl!) but only by using the Copy feature. Was an absolute great tip to use that and go for staggered times with some overlap so we could all get in. I first booked for her and I, got the time I wanted, and then used copy. It took several iterations (3 groups of 2, one group of 3) but we ended up with overlapping times in the 4:10-4:30 range, so as long as we go then we can all get in. I started with 9 and it kicked me right over to Cinderella and Rapunzel. NOTE: after about 15 minutes, A&E for one of the last days of our trip was completely booked for parties of 2... Yikes!
It also seemed counter-intuitive to book at times we didn't want, but after we did it I "got it" - and it was a big time-saver also. When presented with options, we went for the wrongest times imaginable. Then we could edit the times to fit into our narrow windows. (Getting 3 FP into a 4 hour window is kind of tough!).
We have one group on a split stay DVC, one group on a room only split stay, and one group on an expedia rate room but everyone was linked upfront for dining and so FP booking was smooth as butter. At midnight, the entire window opened up and away we went! We had one person designated to book for the group and now everyone can go edit if they need to.
Anyway, hope this helps anyone else looking to book for a bigger group!
