I searched this forum and found posts that were old (2010). I am interested in hearing about recent experiences with viewing Illuminations from Tokyo Dining. I have an 8:00 ressie and want to know how likely it will be that we will see any of the show. I had a 7:30 ressie and moved it back to 8:00 to maximize our park time. I want to have a plan in case we can't get a seat near a window. So, any experiences will be helpful. How good are the window seats? Do they pipe in the music? How likely is it I can get a good seat, how many are there? If we don't get a window sea, what are my viewing options? TIA!

I think it will depend on how crowded the restaurant is, and where you are seated. I don't remember the music being piped in and there are not that many window seats. If you want to get outside in time to see it, let the waitress know when you arrive, but chances are you won't get a good spot around the lake. You might be able to see it from the landing however, but some trees might block your view depending on where you are standing. If you are going here specifically to watch wishes, you might want to pick another restuarant that you know for sure will have a viewing spot. Hope this was helpful and maybe someone else will also chime in.
