Recent experiences with Terminal C baggage claim

In December, I waited nearly an hour for my bag at Terminal C. My Mears driver told me that she'd heard people saying they'd waited even longer than that, so last trip I did carry-on only.

I'm getting in around 7:30 pm next week--assuming JetBlue is on time, which is quite an assumption, I realize--and I'd really prefer to check my bag, so I'm wondering if anyone has recent experience with Terminal C baggage claim. I don't want to wait an hour for my bag, but I'm also not amused by having to lift it into the overhead bin if I don't have to!

Thanks.

We were there in February and our bags were waiting for us on the carousel when we completed the long trek from the gate.

I have had good experiences recently. But keep in mind that a long wait for bags usually has nothing to do with Terminal C (or any other airport baggage area). its your airline. If they are short employees or equipment for whatever reason, bags will take a while. And that can obviously vary from airline to airline depending on the circumstances on any given day

Thanks. I realize this, but until my experience at Terminal C last December, I'd never had a problem with JetBlue.

I'll report back after my trip. I'm still on the fence about what to do for the outbound flight.

We were there two weeks ago flying in on JetBlue. Our flight arrived around 10am and we waited about twenty minutes for our bags to arrive after getting to the baggage carousel.

OP reporting back. I did check my bag.

I arrived at Terminal C around 7:15 pm this Wednesday. I'm happy to say that I waited maybe 15 minutes, max, at the baggage claim for my bag. Not bad at all.
