Recent experiences with BOG PPO ADRs, 8:45-8:55 a.m.?

Hi all,
We are heading to WDW in late-November, and I've been lucky to snag a BOG PPO breakfast ADR at 8:55 a.m. I've seen posts that anyone with a pre-9 a.m. ADR can get into the park at the same time (around 7:45), but have seen a few others saying that this is only true for ADRs that are before 8:45 a.m. I'd love to hear of any recent experiences getting into MK with "later" PPO ADRs around 8:45/8:55 (so I know if I can stop checking for something earlier!).
Thank you!! :)

We had a PPO BOG reservation at 8:05 this Feb and had no issue with crowds. In fact, we didn't know that rope dropped changed and didn't have issues with the crowds. WE did This only for the empty castle photo. If that is the reason you're going too, then I would suggest getting an earlier ADR. We got our 8:05 (or around there) under a week before our trip started.

Thanks very much. We're hoping to get a jump on the crowd for 7DMT but I'm worried that with an 8:55 reservation, we'll be held back.

If you have an 8:55 reservation with a 9:00 park opening won't you be eating breakfast when it opens? They may let people into the park early but the rides won't be running. Did I misunderstand something?

You'll be allowed in the park, but if MK opens at 9am and your ADR is at 8:55 you'll miss any opportunity to get ahead of the crowd for 7DMT. You'd need an earlier ADR to have any benefit for the rides and attractions.

even if you find an earlier ADR keep in mind that as you get closer to your trip Disney often changes park hours a few weeks out. I made a PPO ADR (8:20AM) last year for your November trip at 180 days out. 2 weeks before our trip park hours changed and it was no longer PPO

Thanks for the response. I've seen several posts where people have said that any PPO ADR at BOG (before 9 a.m.) can be seated upon arrival at the restaurant- so if we arrived at 8 a.m., we could be seated right away, even with an 8:55 reservation. I was wondering if anyone had done that recently.

Unlikely. What would they do with all the guests that have 8:00, 8:05, 8:10, 8:15, etc ADRs? Now, if it's worth $10 per person to you to get on SDMT fast, you might be able to enter the park early and skip the meal.

You are correct, OP. Many have done this with no problem. This is our plan as we have an 8:30 ADR. I had read someone recently who did this with an 8:25 ADR and had no problem. I would worry that with an 8:55 time they may hold you, I don't know. I haven't read anything recently that would give you an idea of how that is handled. I do know I read someone who had a tour they were supposed to be on, and that in the past they normally was let in early, but a CM refused and said she would have enough time going in with everyone else, and the lady almost missed her tour!

Thanks so much! I saw that someone with an 8:40 ADR had been let in early a few months ago, but 8:55 seems like it's cutting it close - and it all may be CM dependent, like you suggest. I may keep looking for an earlier time just to be safe. Enjoy your BOG breakfast!

I would for sure keep looking for an earlier time, I just wouldn't want to chance it. I think anything before 8:45 you would be pretty safe being let in early. Sorry for not having more info, but felt like someone needed to respond so you didn't feel like you were crazy for thinking that! lol.

Thanks so much for responding! That's what I'll do. Glad I'm not completely crazy!

I think so many people run late in the mornings, they just take people as they come in. If you're early, you're just making up for someone who will be running late. For lunch, they seem to be stricter about taking people early. Once, we had an 8:20 PPO ADR. I really wanted to get there at 8:00. We ran late, just missed a bus, and ended up right on time for our ADR. So if I had been aiming to be there on time, we would have been late.

I have a question regarding PPO. I have just scored a PPO breakfast ADR at BOG @ 8:40 for my November trip. How does this work? When I arrive at MK, how do I get in to go to BOG? Do I just tell someone at the gate/rope? I haven't been to WDW recently, so am kinda shaky with how the rope drop/PPO thing works.

I had a reservation for 8:50 back in March and was able to get in the park with the early crowd. We were seated and finished eating around 8:50 and headed straight for the 7DMTR line. We got on and were off just as the crowds were arriving.

There will be a line for guests with dining reservations to the far left.

Also....the key is to make sure you pre-order your meal.

Thank you! Great advice!

Hopefully I will be able to get in and get seated so I can take advantage of the park before the real crowds hit like you were able to with 7DMTR.

The only real reason I wanted to get breakfast is because I have a really early dinner at Ohana and want to be hungry by the time I get there! Otherwise my BOG lunch would only be 3 hours before my dinner. Yikes!

This is so great to hear. I'm going to keep looking for something earlier than 8:55 just in case, but am glad to know that we have a shot at getting in with the early crowd if we keep the 8:55 ADR. Thank you!
