Recent Experience With PHL Park 'n Fly??

BillfromPA,

Sorry I can't help with the hotel since we don't ever stay the night before......we prefer to leave our house about 7:00 a.m. or so for a late A.M. flight from PHL...our flight tomorrow is at noon so we'll leave by 7:30 a.m.

feet1,

Call me silly, but, I just don't like the idea of leaving our car parked at a remote lot at the PHL airport for a week and neither does my DH. Too many things can happen. That area is not a particularly welcoming area to begin with and I just don't feel comfortable. Maybe if there was a huge difference in the price of renting a vehicle one way vs. parking for the week, but, since it's just about even costwise........for us anyway it's a nobrainer. However, trust me, you will love flying ns vs. stopping anywhere.....Atlanta in particular. AVP is practically in my backyard and while I think the new airport facility is very nice.......they can't compare when it comes to nonstop flights and prices. Believe me, I would prefer to fly from AVP (it takes us about 4 minutes to get there!!) if we could get comparables. Our last four trips have been on SW from PHL ........all ns and the most we've paid was $137.00 rd trp per person. This trip was $110 rd trp as was the last one in October.....can't beat it and SW is the BEST airline as far as I'm concerned.....we've never had a problem with them which is something I can't say for the two legacy carriers that fly from AVP.

I found the coupon for Winner on longtermparking.com. Is the coupon good for only one day, or for the length of your "stay"? Thanks

I suspect the coupon is good for the entire length of your stay. It looks very similar to the Val Pak coupon, and that's always good for the length of your stay.

The Renaissance - 147.00 (160.21) with 10 day parking and one night stay...

That is steep but I rather do that than have someone get up at 2:oo am just to drive 2 and half hours (my daughter) for me there and 2 and half hours home and worry that she might fall asleep at the wheel ....
