Recent Experience/Review of Kidani

I think the lobby for Kidani Village is probably similar to the lobbies at VWL and BCV. Not as large and grand as the main hotel, but cozier and less activity.

Ahhh...see the lobby at VWL to me never really seemed like a lobby as there is no check-in/reception area. I always thought of it as more of a "nice" cozy area.

While I was underwhelmed with the lobby at Kidani at first it definetly grew on me. I guess going from my the lobbies at WL and Jambo house, which are around 4-5 stories tall to something that is less than 2 stories tall in the main entrance portion is what really took me back at first. But after a few nights of just sitting in the lobby and soaking it in I think I completely "got it" and what they were trying to accomplish.

One question I did have is how many rooms are at Jambo vs. Kidani? For some reason I had it in my mind that Kidani was the same size as Jambo but after 1st hand experience and looking at the maps/savannah(s) I got a feeling that Kidani is somewhat (if not half) the size of Jambo.

Both BCV and VWL have a small desk area. The one at BCV was used for a short while for checkin. And both may have been used once in a while for a DVC desk to display the DVC book showing off all the properties.
