I had guests in town this past week, and spent some time at Disney eating out. Here are a few short reviews of some of the places we ate.

Gremany Buffet. Food was pretty good, very German, so be prepared if you have picky eaters. Service was terrible, really, really, bad. The show seemed a little shorter to me than the last time I was there. I would probably go back, but I would make sure I had a different server.

Crystal Palace. Some of the best buffet food I have experienced on property! Service was great, and so was the character interaction! I'm not a fan of cornbread stuffing at all, but the version they serve there is awsome! So good I actually downloaded the recipe from the internet! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to meet Pooh and friends looking for a great meal!

Cape May. For those of you who shy away from this place because it is a clam bake, dont! I dont like any type of fish at all and left stuffed! They have plenty of meat offerings, great ribs, roasted chicken, and on the night we went at least two other beef offerings. If the ribs are not shipped in from Fort Wilderness I would be surprised, they are just as good if not better! I thought the mashed potatoes were even better than chef Mickeys! Great service, and a nice convienent location. A definate must do if your an all you can eat type of person.

Asia Noodle Station While we didn't eat there I did notice that the menu has changed a little, and the hours were only from 10-3. If you are planning on eating here check on the hours so you dont miss it. I had planned on eating a light dinner here, but our lunch was not till 2:00 so that did not work out. I tried to grab a quick egg roll for a snack, but they are not listed on their menu. They may still sell them, but if they do they are not listed, I waited till I got to adventureland for my snack.

Noticed Lots and Lots of people on the Dining plan, so reservations are getting tougher to get.

Good Luck!

Mike

Thanks for posting Mike.

What were some of the highlights of your dinner at Crystal Palace? While we are not fans of buffets, CP seems like it gets consistently good reviews. I am assuming you were there for dinner.

Thanks for the reviews. I know what you mean about the restaurants filling up. We noticed this when we were in the world this past December. Make those ADR's early........

The food at CP was just plain good! I mentioned the corn bread stuffing in the OP. They also had great vegetable selections, and even the broccoli was hot, hard to do on a buffet! They had carved flank steak that was very good, chicken that was great, an awsome selection of salads, and a ton of fruit. The kids in my party are big fruit fans, and so am I, so that was a hit. I guess the best part was the food was HOT and had FLAVOR. Something you dont often find at buffets. The only downside I can even think of is they had no chocolate or carmel sauce for the soft serve ice cream, but oh well.

Our waitress was a hoot also, she has been with Disney for 35 years, but still provided plenty of Magic. When I asked for a wine list she said "Honey this is the Magic Kingdom, start dreaming". Well they had bread pudding with "Bailey's Irish Cream sauce" for desert, so I told her I wanted a pint of sauce with my coffee. We all had a good laugh over that.

Great reviews....thanks for sharing...I am looking forward to dinner at CP on my next trip :cool1:

Glad to hear that Cape May offers something for people who don't like fish. We are staying at the BC & really wanted to try Cape May since it would be so convenient.

Thanks for posting!
