Recent Character Meal Experiences?

I can't find confirmation but it sounds like you don't need a Park Ticket or Park Reservation to make a reservation at Goofy's Kitchen (and Storytellers), correct? I originally planned to go on our 3rd day, but we would be in Anaheim in time to go the day before we start our Park entrance. I would like to do this so it doesn't take time away from the park.

Correct. I'm hoping to do a Storyteller's Brunch on our check out day, when we don't have a park ticket.

Our reservations are for 10:45. Technically, since they bring brunch out at 11, we will have the brunch options, correct? I searched for “brunch” times when making the reservations at that time was one that popped up

Were you able to have brunch? I've a 10:35am reservation soon and hoping to pay/receive the brunch menu

Brunch is at 11 am per the website.

Correct.

For extra context, I did call the general Disneyland # and the cast member I spoke to said that he thinks I'd be able to pay for brunch and ask for brunch items once they become available at 11am even if my reservation is for before. But I'm hoping to get verification from someone who's done the same or from Storyteller's directly (can't seem to find a phone # or email)

We ate at Goofy's Kitchen today. Many of my friends were staying at hotels on Harbor, so walked over or took an Uber. I drove from home and valet-parked (free with restaurant validation - just the tip, so breakfast included parking in my book). The food was pretty good and there was such a variety - breakfast, as well as lunch-type foods. I was surprised to see pozole there (it was good). Our picture had no characters but us. The characters did come through a few times while we were there - Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip, and Dale - they danced through and sort of stopped to acknowledge the diners, but didn't make full stops for pictures.

We had fun at breakfast, as well as some other families. I really enjoyed seeing this one family because the parents had got up and were dancing with their small children. It was so cute.

Here's a couple of Magic shots of our group.

Im really hoping we get regular character interactions back soon.

watching WDW open up their fancy Star Wars hotel and watching videos of folks there being able to get as close as they wanted to the characters ... it's no longer about health and safety.. I'm sure it's more about the union agreements now. Time to change it!

Did you have to have photopass to get those photos? I had planned on doing Goofys dinner on our arrival day. We are staying at DL hotel. Thought it would be a good start to our trip. But I would not have photo pass yet, until our park day the next morning. If they give you a card, could I redeem next day?

The photo was included with the price of the meal, so take advantage. :)

We don’t go until March 15, so was hoping to have someone going sooner to let us know, too!

I'll be going the weekend before you so I'll let you know as long as we don't change our reservation!

Followup question- are characters are the weekday brunches? I thought they were only at Fri-Sun brunches, which is why I booked a weekend. Thanks!

Arise Thread!

Has anyone had a character meal since meet and greets have normalized?

I want to take my daughter to Minnie’s breakfast at plaza inn in the near future if we can get signatures and pictures up close and she can hug them.

Also anyone know the price point on it? Is it still 41 per adult 24 per child?

We did Goofy's Kitchen last week. We met and hugged and took a picture with Goofy before the meal (we were there for supper) but the rest of the characters (Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale), came through and danced during meals (quite frequently!). They didn't stop at tables for hugs or anything, but definitely visited tables and didn't avoid people or anything like that.

We did Minnie's breakfast this morning and Goofy's earlier this week. Goofy's was definitely no hugs, no autographs, no posed pictures - the characters would maybe do a high five as they danced by but that was it. At Minnie's this morning though, it felt like the Beforetimes. I was able to get some great pictures of my kids hugging the characters. They came by a couple times while we were there and spent at least a couple minutes at each table. We didn't try for autographs but I saw several other tables that had books out and I watched Pooh awkwardly try to take a pen from a child so I believe they were signing them.
