Receiving DVC discounts ?

My husband and I are going in August and staying at OKW on points from my parents DVC membership. When we go to WDW we usually go with them but this year we are by ourselves. My question: Can we use their DVC member card to receive the dining discounts at places like Olivias? Has anyone ever used someone else's member card when using their points?

Your "Key to the World Card" will most likely say "DVC Member" on it. Restaurants will most likely take that as proof and will give you a discount. When the Blue Card is asked for, they often ask for a picture I.D. to go along with it. The last time we bought DVC pins a few weeks ago they did just that. More and more I am hearing that places are asking for the Blue Card as proof of membership.
