Receiving Checks from Paypal?

I'm thinking of signing up for a PayPal account so I can turn my earnings on QR and SR into a cash check. I need something for the Universal part of our vacation.

Question: How long does it take a cashout (at QR or SR) to be in my PayPal account and available for me to request a check?

And then how long does it take to receive a check?

I have my bank account linked to paypal so its a little faster to transfer money back and forth. I think there is a fee to request a check and it can take a week or two to receive.

When I cash out via QR it usually transfers in about 2 days from when I request it. I have only cashed out once via SR and it was during a busy time so it took almost a week I think (I could be mixing this up with lightspeed though so Tricia might be the better person to ask)

checks take 1-2 weeks and cost $1.50.. but you can have your paypal money just transferred right into your bank account. Its free and takes 3-4 days.

I don't want it transfered into our bank account as DH runs that and I'm not "allowed" anything over my monthly allowance. He locks our checkbook up in the safe at work. (Guess that's why we have excellent credit scores ) That's why I'd like a cash check, so I can spend the money on what I want...oh, and to stay onsite at Universal.

yikes.. I couldn't imagine not having my checkbook on me..


You can also get the paypal debit card and use it at an atm to withdraw or use it like a reg credit card.. using the money you have available in your account.
