History: We booked our room only ressies through a TA--originally staying at AKL. Then the AP Codes came out. We changed our ressies (through the TA) to BWI. We are going July7-17.

I received our ME pkg today for AKL. :confused3

Will they send the correct ones or do I need to get it fixed. How do I fix it?

All help is greatly appreciated.

TIA

I would call the ME phone number and explain what happened. I think you'll need new tags since they are all computer coded. If you don't get new tags, I don't believe you should put the AKL tags on your bags. Leave off the tags and collect your bags at baggage claim. I would think ME could straighten it out (your TA really should do this for you, however).

When you call ME they will most likely tell you to just Black out the AKL only.(Don't do the barcodes).

When they confirm or make the change in their system the barcode will put your bags to what they update in their system. But just call them it will be no problem.

I agree with tmt martins. I think I recall Tyler posting about this, that the luggage is routed via the barcode, and the barcode doesn't represent a resort, but rather your reservation. Since Disney's computers know at which resort you currently have a reservation, the bags will be routed correctly. I assume you black out the incorrect resort NAME just to make sure there's not a conscientious subcontractor employee who thinks he's doing the right thing by overriding the system and taking a piece of luggage to what he thinks is the "correct" truck.

Thanks for all the help. I am going to e-mail my TA and let her handle it. If that doesn't work, then I will call ME in a couple of days.

Again, thanks.

Update:

I called DME this morning. The nice CM told me to cross out "AKL" and write in "Boardwalk". So, that is taken care of. Now, I just have to get a DDE card.

Thanks for all the help and support.
