Received a pin code yesterday

& I soooooo want to use it. I would love to go down Thanksgiving day thru the Tuesday. My oldest ds is off school (high school) Mon & Tues so I would just have to take my other 2 boys out for 2 days (grade school), which I don't have a problem with.

We would have to fly & w/5 of us we would have to stay Deluxe since they aren't any rooms for 5 and I only have one code so I couldn't book 2 Value rooms.

I'm looking at about $1350 for the stay & tickets then I would have to add in airfare. Not too sure if it would be worth it for a few days. Do the crowds thin out after Thanksgiving or am I still looking at gridlock during the weekend? We always go during off-season b/c I hate going to DW & fight the crowds.

I'm already planning a cruise + 3 park days next Sept so that's going to be a nice chunk of change.

We haven't been on a vacation for 3 1/2 yrs so I'm really itching to go. I'm guessing everyone on here would jump on the pin code. So my ? is, should I seriously consider this or should I just plan for the 2012 Sept trip & save my money?

What's the PIN discount?

A PIN is good for 3 rooms, so you could book 2 Values.

The discount is for 25% off value but when I put the info in for a party of 5 it came back saying only Deluxe is available (which would be 35% off). I didn't realize I could use it on more than 1 room.

The entire Thanksgiving weekend will have gridlock crowds.

It will thin out a little by Sunday, and it will be fine by Monday.
But Thursday-Saturday will have massive crowds.

You can survive massive crowds with a good plan. But if you wanted to wander around a half-empty park in the middle of the afternoon, that won't be happening.

Thanksgiving week is burgeoning with the masses, so if that doesn't appeal to you, save it for another date.....Besides, the discounts are usually targeted at the "off" times rather than the heavy ones.
