For those of you going through the process who have been wondering how long all of this takes:

We received our DVC package on Thursday, April 14th.

Signed everything & had the papers notarized on April 15th.

Dropped the FedEx package off to go back to DVC on Saturday, April 16th.

Today (Monday, April 25) we rec`d a letter from DVC letting us know our financing had been approved.

So - I guess we are now as "official" as we can be until our building construction is completed on August 2. Yeah!!!! :cheer2:

Hi,
I was told you call with a credit card deposit of $500.00. Do you know what happens from there? I was never sent anything to fill out and send back.. Marianne

After you make your deposit, they will send you your contract package. These are the papers I was referring to in my earlier post.

I got my contract package today but it had the wrong use year on it so I have to wait for a new package. Rats. Nancy

YAHOO!!!!!

I just got off the phone with our guide and he called us up to let us know that we are approved for financing, too!

Timeline:

4/20 SSR Tour and Visit
4/23 Called our guide to set up an appointment for purchase.
4/24 Went in to the Preview Center, met our guide, signed all the paperwork.
4/26 Our guide called to tell us our financing has been approved!

He said we should be getting our BWV deed in the next 2 months and our SSR deed a few months after our building in SSR opens in August.

On top of this good news, I had just got off the phone with member services a few minutes prior with our reservation at the BCV for 2 nights during the food and wine festival. We had read so many negative posts on how hard it was to get a BWV/BCV room during the food and wine festival, that I sat down for over a half hour with my wife last night coming up with different dates and resort options so that I would have a list to go through if the dates/rooms were not available. Low and behold, our first requested dates for a 1 BR at BCV were open and we are in!

I am just so happy today!

What Use Year are they offering right now? DH and I plan to make our purchase in the next couple of weeks.

While September use year is what they are currently pushing, you can get a later use year if that works better for you. We just bought a December use year as we wanted 50 points at BWV along with our SSR contract and there were 50 points available at BWV in the December use year. Our guide also mentioned that there were March use years available, too. So, we were able to get a December use year SSR combined with a December use year BWV even though they are still selling September use years.
