Rec'd 30% Postcard Pin Yesterday

Thought I'd contribute my PIN experience. I haven't been in about 2 years and about 3 weeks ago signed up for the planning DVD. It came about a week and a half later, and then the PIN code postcard came after that. I've been to WDW about 8 times since 1994 and have never received a discount code or any sort of PIN code before until this weekend! I'm sure it had to do with signing up for the planning DVD because the postcard mentions it. It actually said $99 value in May(which I think is regular price), or "if your dates are flexible", 30% off various dates throughout 2008. While it's not 40% off it's got me thinking since we really hadn't plan on going for another 2 years!

I got the same postcard yesterday. When I signed up for my dvd, I put down we were thinking of going in October 2008, so my $99 value resort is good for October 2008. However, I only got 20% off for other dates.

How did you get 30%!!!

And why didn't either of us get 40%!!

I also got a 30% off card. I was happy because now DH may go for another trip. We are doing DL in April, so I thought that we weren't going to do WDW. Now this may change that.

Normally we go in November, but the dates actually work better for us in October, so that is waht I am aiming for.

Unfortunately, none of the dates work for us since we like to visit in the summer. The other major bugaboo is that the address is ours, but the family name isn't even remotely close to ours. This is not the first time we've received another family's name on a mailing from Disney to our address.

ME TOO! I receieved a Pin in a postcard yesterday as well. I am going to Disney this coming June, and the postcard gives me $109/night at the Value resorts for all of June, or 30% off of a bunch of other dates this year. Here are the dates on my card: 3/30-4/12, 8/10-9/27, 10/19-11/1, 11/9-11/15, and 12/7-12/13.

Since I'm a teacher and can only go in the Summer the 30% off doesn't work for me, but I will be trying to see if this can give me any sort of discount on my current ressie in June for CSR, even though it's not a value.

i received a postcard in the mail yesterday and it says on the front,"keep your head in the clouds, _____ family! it has a website to go to with our lastname in it but i'm having trouble pulling it up. can someone tell me what this is about. on the card, it doesn't have anything with the discounts.

I got it also.. it was 20% off these dates

i'm still trying and i'm not putting in the *. i can't use this anyways cause we are going to wdw Jan. 09. i will have to be patient. we are going to DL in june but the best deal with that is the so.california city pass.

I got $82 for a Value from 11/30 - 12/18/08

Lucky you. I haven't been in 2 1/2 yrs and sent for the planning DVD. I got the DVD, no code though. I also had a DVD sent to my mom and my hubby just in case (sry Disney!) They haven't gotten theirs yet, but I am praying 1 of us will be lucky!

I was just at Disney in Feb of 2007, but we didnt stay on site. It has been years since we have stayed on site.. It was also never in my name, always my parents since I was a child. I signed up for the DVD about a month ago, and just checked the box today and found the pin. I am trying to convince DBF to go in December.. But isnt $82 the regular price? And we were looking at staying at POFQ, do they usually have offers for the mods and deluxe as well?

my dh was able to pull it up on his computer and it was an offer for disneyland cause we are going there in june but we got a really good deal on our hotel. we are going to wdw in jan. so the other dates wouldn't do any good. now, i've sent off for my disney cruise line dvd and i'm hoping for some offers for that!!!

When I called today (for the first time ever to check on a pin), they told me they are not allowed to check to see if I have a pin attached to my name or address. Is that the case with others?

This may be a silly question. I got this email but it says I need a pin. Where is the pin? I don't see one in the entire email. Any suggestions?

I called 2 days ago and the CM I talked to was able to find me in their system and then do a search for available codes with my name. I think it just depends on the CM you get. .. some will go the distance for you while others (the lazy ones) are content to tell you the same ol' spiel. I've had both lol but still no code
